Fondation Leducq currently offers two awards programs for research in cardiovascular and neurovascular disease. The Transatlantic Networks of Exellence Program, begun in 2004, provides funding for large, internationally collaborative research networks. The Career Development Award offers support for junior and senior investigators to work internationally within the Leducq networks, and represents an evolution of the Leducq Transatlantic Fellowship for junior investigators offered in 2007 and 2008. Information about the foundation's first grant program, which offered project grants to individuals in cardiovascular research from 2000 to 2002, is included below.
Transatlantic Networks of Excellence
Beginning in 2004 the Leducq Foundation has focused exclusively on awarding grants for collaborative European-American cardiovascular research projects, under the terms of the Transatlantic Networks of Excellence program.
